Q1. I am not able to login to the Softphone. What could be the reasons?
Ans.:
- Check the User Name and the Password are correct
- Check if your landline is connected to the modem
- Check that your internet connection is working.
- Check if your account has sufficient balance.
Q2. I have logged in but when I dial the number, I get a message "Authorization Failed"
Ans.: Check the balance. If balance is not sufficient to get you through one pulse for the destination you are trying to reach, you will not be allowed to make a call. To renew your account log on to www.internet.vsnl.in or purchase from a retail outlet near you
Q3. I can hear the person, but they cannot hear me!
Ans.: Check the microphone and speakers by tuning them with Softphone's audio tuning wizard.
Q4. The person I am calling complains of hearing an echo!
Ans.: If you are using a microphone, hold it away from the speakers to avoid having the sound from your speakers circulates into your microphone. Lower the volume on your speakers. Speak with a headset with a microphone. Check with your sound card manufacturer to be sure you are using the latest drivers.
Q5. I am getting a message "Audio Hardware not found" .
Ans.: Check if your computer has a sound card. Check the Sound driver for the system. It may not be properly installed. Reinstall the drivers, once again.
Q6. I receive "Invalid number or unauthorized number" error message!
Ans.: Check the dialed number. It could be an invalid number.
