Q1. What is the difference between Net Telephony & making an ISD call?

Ans.:Net Telephony is one of the ways to make an ISD call. A normal ISD call is made from a landline or a mobile phone while a Net Telephony ISD call is made by dialing through a PC.

Q2. Will I be charged ISD rates on my telephone on using this service?

Ans.: No, you will not be charged ISD rates on your phone. You will charged only the following components:
  • Net Telephony Tariff - by Tata Indicom from VSNL.
  • Internet Access charge - by your ISP or by Tata Indicom from VSNL if that is your ISP.
  • PSTN charge for local ISP connectivity - by your local BSO.

Q3. What are the various countries I can call using this service?

Ans.: You can call all the countries. For a complete list of countries, please visit the tariffs page on www.internet.vsnl.in.

Q4. Are there any hidden fees or charges?

Ans.: We believe in providing transparent and honest billing. Hence there are no hidden fees or charges. You just pay for the Net telephony call at the country rate per minute as defined in your rate plan.
