Q1. What is Crakblok?
Ans.: Crakblok is a smart authentication system in which the User Name and Password are matched with the telephone number from which you dial into Tata Indicom Total Internet Service. This way, it presents a fool-proof system to safeguard your account from hackers, even if your User Name and Password is known by others.
Q2. How can I subscribe to Crakblok?
Ans.: To subscribe, log on www.internet.vsnl.com/crakblok . Enter your User Name and Password. You will then be asked to enter your Secret Question and Answer.
In case you have a Secret Question and Answer, you shall be asked to authenticate yourself. Then a menu will be displayed to you which shall allow you either add a Telephone Number, Delete a Telephone Number, Activate the facility or deactivate the facility.
Choose the correct option by clicking the radio button and then click on Submit to proceed.
Q3. What will happen once I subscribe to the service?
Ans.: Once you subscribe to the service, you will be able to access your Tata Indicom Total Internet Service account from the telephone numbers available in the Crakblok Telehpone Access List only.
Q4. Which telephone number do I Enter?
Ans.: You will need to enter the Telephone number from which you want to access the Tata Indicom Total Internet Service account. This may be your residence/office telephone number.
Q5. In which format should I enter the telephone numbers?
Ans.: The telephone number should be entered without the STD code. For example if you want to access Internet from Mumbai number 22233445 and Delhi number 8877665.
Q6. What do I do if I want to access my account from two different telephone numbers?
Ans.: You can enter up to a maximum of three telephone numbers, at any given point of time, from where you want to access your Tata Indicom Internet Service account.
Q7. Will it affect my roaming service?
Ans.: You can also avail the roaming service as usual. You will need to add the telephone number from where you will be accessing the Tata Indicom Internet Service account in other city if you already know the telephone number of that city. Alternatively you can unsubscribe from the service for that period of time.
Q8. How can I unsubscribe from Crakblok?
Ans.: Go to site www.internet.vsnl.com/crakblok. After you have authenticated yourself, in the menu select the option to deactivate your account.
Q9. Which telephone number I should dial?
Ans.: Once you have subscribed to Crakblok service, you should access your Internet account by dialing 172226 only. Internet access via any other dialup number will not be authenticated.
